Since making his Oliver’s Mount debut in 2011 at the Spring Cup Races, James went from strength to strength around the mount, considered by many as a specialist around the road race circuit and known to many as a mini TT.
James achieved 2nd places in the 2016 Super lightweight. 3rd in the Junior and took 2nd place in the 2017 Gold cup.
James was a TT 2014 podium finisher, North West 200 podium finisher, classic TT races podium finisher, Southern 100 podium finisher, Armoy road races podium finisher, multiple times winner around Oliver’s Mount, Dundrod 150 winner, Ulster Grand Prix winner and Manx Grand Prix winner.
At TT 2014, James joined an illustrious list of riders to have secured a podium finish at the most famous road race in the world the Isle of Man TT.
James continued his TT racing success in 2015 with 2nd in the Formula 2 Classic TT race 16th in the Supersport and 4th in the lightweight. In 2016 James continued his IOM TT progression with 11th in the Supersport and 10th in the lightweight. 2017 saw James taking 10th at the IOM TT in the Supersport race, 15th in the Superstock & Senior races and an impressive 8th in the lightweight just behind his team mate Michael Dunlop.
In 2018 James achieved 9th Positions in both TT Supersport races, 18th in the Superbike and improved his TT Zero record by finishing 4th.
In this year he also won his maiden NW200 Supertwin race for McAdoo racing and achieved first place at the Cookstown 100.
